- Treeture Activities and Resources -- This whimsical web
site is sponsored by the USDA Forest Service, American Forests and others. It has some good teacher resources and
activities related to forests and trees.
- Forestry Fun -- This site, sponsored
by the Society of American Foresters, lists a wide range of scientific and educational resources. The links
are organized by school age group.
- Traux -- An alternative version of Dr. Seuss' book
"The Lorax". This version attempts to portray a more accurate depiction of today's forest management.
The site includes an online version of the book and a classroom lesson plan.
- NYS Assembly Kid's Page -- This site is
managed by the NYS Assembly and contains interesting facts regarding our state along with information on elected officials
and state government.
Project Learning Tree Information
- Project Learning Tree -- Project Learning Tree or PLT is a is
a national, award-winning, interdisciplinary environmental education program for educators working with students in
Pre-K through grade 12. It is one of the most widely used environmental education programs in the US and abroad.

- NY Project Learning Tree
-- The New York program is sponsored by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and the NYS Department of

Workshops and Conferences
- Watershed Forestry Institute -- This is an annual
conference for teachers located in the Catskill Watershed or New York City. It helps highlight the relationships
between these two regions of the state and the connections between watershed forests and water quality.
