Forestry Foundation – Empire State Forest Products Association is a full supporter of the Empire State Forestry Foundation. Established in 1999 to support educational programming relating to forestry, the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Projects include:

NY Arbor Day – The Foundation partners with The Temperate Forest Foundation and local supporters to continue an annual Tour that brings teachers in contact with loggers, landowners and wood-using businesses while learning about forestry in NYS.

Teacher’s Tour – The posters highlight the importance of trees and are distributed statewide. The annual celebrations involve government officials, school aged kids, and tree related organizations.

Forestry Resource Center – An interactive CD for Grades 6 to 9 that helps kids discover the relationship between forest management and wildlife.

Forests Forever – The Foundation recently built a facility to provide the focus for forestry related work in Rensselaer, NY.
