Board Member Profile
Samuel Creech –
Catskill, NY

Sam is currently the President of the New York State Timber Producers Association (NYSTPA) and replaces former Board Member Charlie Tallman.
Previously the Chairman and a founding member of NYSTPA Southeast Chapter, Sam has been an active advocate for the logging community in the Hudson Valley for many years and has attended many town meetings in an effort to stem the tide of restrictive logging ordinances.
Sam has always taken pride in being a logger, and in 1994 he was named the Outstanding Timber Harvester of New York State for Region 3.
Sam’s passion is to make sure that timber thieves are fully prosecuted for every offense. “Those guys give the whole industry a black eye, and too often they get let off without having to pay full restitution.”
An ESFPA member since 1999 as Catskill Forest Products, Sam is a third generation logger and works with his sons John and Jeff to continue the family business for another generation.
